Well it's August 14th again,
That may not mean much to most of you but here at The Grange it means we have been up and running for 7 YEARS!! For most of the time it's been the standard restaurant life; 16 hour days, non stop stress, and pressure to be as close to perfect as we can be. We are constantly hiring and training new employees because most folks in the business don't consider this a "real job". This year, well let’s just say this is the year that everything has changed. In fact on March 16 specifically is when it all changed. Due to Covid-19 we "locked up the brakes", got some whiplash and on March 18 we started a completely new and unexpected chapter. And what a ride it's been! It became obvious early on that we wouldn't be getting any support in the form of loans for payroll or for disaster relief. I guess we're just too small of a business to be considered a "small business" so with Andi, Billy Goat and myself, we dove into a whole new world. Thankfully with the support of all of you we survived the "to go" phase and when we opened up the back-yard 3 months later, we were packed from day one! Now, thanks to my lifesaver Tom, we have a tent covering the patio and have all our beautiful antique wooden tables and chairs, candles and flowers out under the tent. I don't know what the future holds but I do know that thanks to all you and your undying dedication The Grange will carry on! Thanks to all of my Grange family that have worked with me throughout the years and especially Andi, Christian & Ryan; the three of you despite a global pandemic fearlessly jumped back into the thick of it when The Grange was on the verge of collapse, you will always hold a special place in my heart and soul.
Dominique and I hope you know that if it wasn’t for your inspiration and encouragement, the Grange would never have come to existence. You forced me to make my dreams come true and I can never thank you enough.
